TV$ will be issued to networks just as in real life, based upon ratings and ad income.
TV$ will be issued to production companies based on the fees they earn per episode through negotiated agreements with networks.
NETWORK CEOs
Network heads will be approved by the admin, a limited number of networks are available.
Networks negotiate contracts with production companies for TV series, and may elect to shoot a pilot or order direct to series based on the strength of the pitch.
Networks will be expected to post a weekly schedule of programming.
Each network starts with TV$ 100,000,000
NETWORKS
Networks have maintenance costs of TV$ 10,000,000/month once the season begins, and the amount will be deducted accordingly.
PLAYER ROLES
Production Companies – They create the ideas for and/or produce TV projects for Networks. PCs can go about making a project in many ways: (1) they can pitch the idea to the Pitches forum, (2) they can pitch an idea directly to Networks, or (3) they can sell an already produced – ready to air project to a Network.
Critics – Critics will play a major role in TTG. Before airing, each TV project will be reviewed by Critics in various aspects such as (but not limited to) originality, plot, characters, cast chosen to play those characters and lasting appeal. Critics will rate each category from 1 to 10 (no written review is needed). This is an important part of the Pilot Quality Scores.
Journalists - Any player may be a journalist, and should post in the critics forum.
AVAILABLE TALENTS
For the first season, available talent will be developed as we go, production companies should contact admin to have their cast approved.
SEASON
Each season will last 22 weeks, with new pilots and replacement shows allowed throughout.
PILOTS
Pilots will be scored as follows: 25% Idea
25% Talent
25% Intangibles
25% Writing
A score on a 1-5 scale will be issued, and the network can choose to order episodes, reshoot, or pass.
RATINGS
A ratings formula will be posted prior to the season starting, the first season will start once the networks are up and running.
