Episode 1 - Pilot


Michael Cera (as Himself) is a former famous actor and full-time party animal. He is plotting a comeback in showbiz after several months of public scandals, meltdowns and drug use that turned him from the most awkward cute loveable actor into the most hated person in USA. But there is nothing permanent in showbiz, the marriage of Kim K and Kanye West effectively puts the spotlight away from Cera's problem and also making people forget about Cera's presence. Sam Newman (Hunter Parrish) is a PHd in business who failed to find job and pressured by his education debt, and now he is Michael Cera manager by accident (a role he takes because he desperately needs money). Christopher Mintz-Plasse (as Himself) is Michael Cera's celebrity best friend, he is always jealous of Michael's fame and his career stagnancy. But after all they are was a roommate during their early year in Hollywood and he always supported Michael is his hard day fighting with public scandals.

Today Michael, Sam and Christopher decided to pay a visit to Michael's old friend Farrah Hudson (Alicia Silverstone). She is a rookie Hollywood agent who just opened her own agency Farah Agency Group (FAG) and is the daughter of top Hollywood agent Tom Hudson (Peter MacNicol). The reason she opened her own agency is because her father has had enough of his daughter party lifestytle and challenged her to rival his agency with the prize of succeeding him in Tom Hudson's agency Hudson International Talent (HIT). A desperate Farrah, who needed a client call all of her friends to join her agency and only Cera returned her call. Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse now officially signed with Farrah agency, marking the first success of Sam's career as manager (while he is secretly attracted to Farrah). Farrah then decided that Michael needs to start over and several good publicity, and refer him to her friend Albert Turner (B.J. Novak) who also her private publicist that succesfully making Farrah Hudson name clean despite of her party hard with celebrities behavior (Farrah was once walking around naked with Michael during Michael's meltdown, but thanks to her publicist her name still safe and not even one photo leaked to media.)


Albert Turner is a famous publicist who is on his peak as a publicist, he is the one with idea of Hollywood celebrities adopting third world country children for good publicity. He isn't like Michael and Christopher on his first sight, but after several chat he become awe of Cera's coolness (alias doucheness) and believe that he is Cera's best friend (despite an objection from Christopher Mintz-Plasse).


Just several weeks later Michael Cera's name is already climbing to positive spotlight (thanks to Albert) and he's getting an offer (which he rejected because it was from Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg). Michael decided to treat his new gang in a bar because of he personally believe that he can reclaim Hollywood.

Sam is relieved because his jobs gonna be easier to do rather than his first calculation, later he meet Tom Hudson and Jason Perry (Stephen Merchant) who he chatted with. Jason, who is a formed manager of Cera is advising Sam to leave Cera because of Cera's (a babyfaced dick) unpredictable behavior and also told Sam that his job isn't as easy as he thought while Tom asking Sam to keeping tabs on Farrah. Sam later leaving them and personally do not believe what Jason said.

Just as Sam arrived on their table he is now surprised that Cera and Mintz-Plasse and Turner now engaging in a fight, now Sam realized that his work is going to be hard
